GOLD science observations continued from day 335 through day 348 (December 14) when it was decided that, in order to preserve the Channel B detector, channel B observations would be suspended while permanent solution could be identified.  Channel A continued its normal operations, including the Northern Hemisphere from 2310 until 0010.

As in November, NI1 (nighttime disk scans) began at 2010 UTC using only Channel B, alternating hemispheres.  At 2310 UTC, Channel A began Northern Hemisphere scans while Channel B continued scanning, but only the Southern Hemisphere.
